BlueFront Consultants

WATER CONSULTANCY SERVICES

BlueFront delivers class-leading engineering in hydrology, hydraulics, and data-driven water-risk analytics - combining decades of experience with cutting-edge computational modelling to help governments, utilities, insurers, and private-sector clients manage water sustainably and reduce climate-related losses. Our expertise spans water resources, groundwater, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), flood resilience, river engineering, Nature-based Solutions and Parametric Insurance Flood Modelling. We integrate catastrophe-loss modelling to quantify the financial impacts of flooding and extreme weather, strengthening risk, resilience, and investment decisions in a changing climate.

SERVICES

With deep domain expertise across hydrology, hydrogeology, and flood science, we provide scientifically rigorous water and climate intelligence that strengthens water security, enhances catchment health, and builds resilience to extreme events. Whatever the project, we apply a whole-systems approach grounded in robust science to help clients understand, protect, and optimise their water environments.

  • Water resources and supply assessment

  • Groundwater exploration and hydrogeological studies

  • Flood resilience and natural flood management

  • River and catchment health assessment

  • Flood catastrophe risk analytics

She holds a PhD in Flood Risk Management using Nature-Based Solutions from Coventry University (UK) and an MSc in Environmental Water Management from Cranfield University (UK), alongside a BSc (Hons) in Hydrology and Water Resources Management.Dr Lokidor is a specialist in flood risk assessment, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, urban drainage systems, Sustainable urban Drainage System, and Nature-Based Solutions for flood reduction and climate resilience. Her professional experience spans consultancy, academia, and international development projects across the United Kingdom and East Africa, supporting work in both development planning and humanitarian contexts.

Christopher Masafu, PhD (Glasgow)

Christopher is the Co-Founder of BlueFront and an expert in flood hydrology and hydraulics. He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Glasgow (United Kingdom), where his research focused on video-based remote sensing for flood modelling, an MSc in Water and Environmental Management from the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) and a BSc. Earth Sciences (First Class Honours) from Maseno University. He brings deep expertise in flood hydrology, with a strong focus on integrating remote sensing and artificial intelligence into hydrological modelling. Christopher has worked extensively with international organisations such as the World Bank, delivering flood models for major river basins and advanced analytics for catastrophe and climate risk assessments, and is a member of the UK’s Flood Hydrology Roadmap Scientific and Technical Advisory Group.
